We’ve all been there before, you’re heading out for a big date, or maybe you’ve got a photoshoot coming or you just need to look big to boost your self-confidence. Now, unfortunately, you can’t just put on 10lbs of muscle in a few days.

Fortunately, you can make yourself look that way. There are a few tricks that you can perform to make you look bigger (than you already are) so you can look good for that big date you have in a couple of days.

Carb Load

This is the easiest way to look huge. Carbs increase the level of glycogen in your muscles which gives them the appearance of being larger than they actually are on a normal basis.

Ideally, you would deplete yourself from carbs 2-3 days before and then the day before or the day of the event, you would load yourself up on carbs. Consume upwards of 3grams per pound of bodyweight and watch yourself explode! Just make sure to come back down or lower your amounts afterward because excess amounts will mess with your blood sugar levels and can cause fat storage.

Use Creatine

Creatine is famous for doing just what you want it to, increasing muscle size. It does this by pulling water and hence, nutrients, into the muscles. You may have noticed that when you are on creatine, people notice your gains much more.

Now, everyone knows that I love creatine monohydrate, however, if you are not already on creatine and running short on time, you would need to supplement with something that takes effect much faster as the monohydrate variety takes up to a week for you to notice any results. Kre-alkalyn is a better choice in this situation.

Get a Pump

This should be obvious but getting a pump an hour or two before your event will help to significantly increase your size (and confidence) temporarily. Make sure you are carb loaded and properly hydrated then bust out a couple low weight, high rep, sets of bench presses, shrugs, bicep curls, tricep pushdowns, shoulder presses and lat pulldowns.

Of course, make sure that you are properly hydrated. If you’re dehydrated, none of these methods will do much for you because you’d be dry like a raisin. Ensure proper hydration at all times.
